This course was created to respond to the challenge to achieve Universal Secondary Education and respond to the changing demands in the education sector. It was recognized that the region needs a well-educated and trained labour force for an increasingly competitive global environment.
Thus the Adult Education Association of Guyana sought to be the pioneer of this endeavour in our country. This programme consists of Five Modules packed with interesting activities which make learning very meaningful and relevant and seeks to bridge the gap between The regular Caribbean Secondary Certificate Examination and this new venture. This core programme could be taken by students when they determine themselves to be ready and upon completion they will be ready for entry level employment.
